October Camping - Part II

Sunset on the waterfront is one of my favorite things; the roll and shush of the waves slowing down, the dazzling line of light reflected off the water, how the sun turns the shore and trees orange with black shadows.

This is the end of Day One of our camping trip... Just as a side note: it was vigorously windy for the first half of the day. Not cold, but the wind was a steady force. 

That's my iPhone box, by the way!! In case you didn't get it from the last post, I bought the new 4s... It's white, so I named it Johnny in honor of my first white iMac. You can see a portrait of me and my phone here at this gorgeous blog post by Logan. :D

October Camping - Part I

Earlier in the summer, Sara decided that we would go camping for Lucy's first birthday. We ended up going to Elijah Clark State Park on the 14th, 15th (Lucy's birthday), and 16th. The weather was absolutely gorgeous. Windy at first, but ultimately perfect.

This is most of Day One, but since I took the bulk of photos on Day One, I decided to split the photos into a few parts, by their mood/subject instead of day.

The absolute best way to eat lunch: cold beans from the can and hot dogs over the fire.

Logan and I are taking a geology class this semester, and ever since we learned about rocks and minerals, I've been staring at every rock I pass. The shorelines here were really interesting...

Lake Russell was stunning. I drove over it on my way to visit Jordan this summer and I had to slow the car down when I crossed the bridge. I love water, and especially love big blue lakes. We got to canoe the morning before we left, which was lovely. Jamie and I were so tempted to jump in the water mid-journey. :D

Now excuse me while I continue my love affair with my new iPhone 4s.
