This is straight from the camera. No tampering! Isn't it awesome?

Oh, yes, and I am asked to give Mum credit for telling us to *look* at the sky... XD

Ogres are like onions...

What, you mean they stink and make you cry?

Sometimes Shrek pops into my head. I don't even like Shrek. But I dig the quote.

The Booga Booga Lemon Monster

This is my Booga Booga Lemon Monster. Starring Quinn as the Booga Booga's voice, and me as it's eyes and goatee. :D>

I promise we weren't bored; on the contrary, I was cutting vegetables and washing dishes. Whoo.

I'm cheating. This is old. From January.
But H is so cute.

Pics were taken with the super cool 55 mm lens that Sara rented. Or was it a 50? I think I'm going to buy it, whatever it was...

Because I have skipped so many days in my 365 project, it's practically void, but here's today's picture. :)

threads of milk & cool big shades

Konnichiwa! (I'm feeling very Japanese today.) I'm back again, for a bit. You see, when my blood is actually warm and moving through my veins without getting a bit icy, I am so much more creative and lively - which means I might even blog a bit!

Mum thought we should have some iced coffee, and so we did... along with banana bread and some of Sara's yummy lemon pound cake. :)

Coolness.

I was trying to make this look a bit like film - heh - I don't think I really accomplished anything like that, but I liked the composition of the picture anyway.

These are really about a fourth of an inch flowers - they grow all over the yard and are super cute. *digs the macro attachment*

[ Arigatō gozaimasu! *bow* ] @ Jamie, for giving me the sunglasses that make me feel cool and cardigins that are soft and sweet. I dig. :) And I really like saying arigatō gozaimasu... It means "thank you very much" (correct me if I'm wrong, G), in Japanese!

I still need to get my snow pictures up! Poo on toast.

snow :: part I

Salut! It's been a very long time since my last post and I apologize for my lack of attention. My posts seem to be picking up a pattern of beginning with "it's been a long time." I was sick for more than a week - I guess it's something you might call the flu? Of course, this is not the reason I've been neglecting my blog, but it does sound very relevant. I didn't really get out of bed for a week, which was just horrible! All I kept saying was "there's crumbs in my bed!" because of all the toast I ate there.

And, oddly enough, I was all unlucky. Soon after I became ill (teehee) we get lots of beautiful snow that needs its picture taken, and where am I? I'm glued to my bed while it's snowing very gorgeously outside my windows... But fear not, I did bundle up and went out to take pictures. However, there is no argument that a sprite, happy Caroline might have taken a lovely selection of pictures, versus the coughy, sluggish one which had less than any gusto, doncha knoo.

And then the power went out. Along with my voice. Funny how time seems to just drag on without electrically powered machines and vocal abilities. And not only was the power out, but I was also out of Star Trek; a truly sad occasion. We've started watching Voyager from the beginning and Star Trek is so lovely when your sick. Or should I say especially lovely. Ah, well.

Here are half of my favorite pics from the snow days... Enjoy!

Snow is so wet. Especially when it's not extremely cold outside. In order to avoid the complete soaking of Griffin's camera, I cut the corner off of a Zip-Lock and stuffed the camera inside, along with my hand. It worked rather well, except when the plastic slipped over the lens, like in the above picture, and when the plastic slipped over the viewfinder.

I tried and tried to get a shot of the snow that was stopped mid-fall. It was very difficult and I never really managed a shot that I'm all that happy with.

Our lovely house.

This was taken from an upstairs window. I thought it looked so quaint.

I have more pics! I will post them in a minute... :) Which may turn into a day, or it may not.
