Yikes! 10 days have gone by since the awesome Henry & the Naked Legs photograph!

Since then, not much has really happened, except that:

1. I got hooked on Heroes, the show.
2. Mother and I lapped up most of the first season already!
3. I finished one sock.
4. Watched the new "Room With a View," which was absolutely dreadful.
5. Finished the second sock! Whooooohooo!
6. Got to babysit Patat's fantastic new Canon 5D Mark II
7. Knocked the focusing screen out of his fantastic new Canon 5D Mark II.
Oh and...
8. Helped Mom babysit Henry for an entire day, but that should technically be #1 in chronological order.

So. That is what has happened. Here are some pics with the Mark II... It's phenomenal in low-light situations.

Here are my socks! Aren't they pretty? Actually, there are these terrible lines of loose stitching

I ripped these pieces of paper out of envelopes, wrapping paper, etc. that was addressed to me. :) But check out how the camera caught the details and it was SO DARK.

Mum has been knitting Henry a sweet sweater. Again, super dark situation.

And this is Quinn's hat. :)

P.S. Doesn't the title remind you of Lost? Heh heh... 4 6 8 15 16 23... Or something like that. Poo, I never thought I'd become addicted to TV shows! :[

This made me laugh.

Meet Mr. Reginald B. Sock. I have named him in fond remembrance of Lt. Reginald Barclay from Star Trek! Anyway, I have quite a bit to go, this is just most of everything above the ankle. :)

[ Thank you, Sarah, for helping me start this project! ]

Yesterday (when this ought to have been posted), I bought some lovely knitting supplies at Mainstreet Yarns. The red is for a pair of socks that I'm currently knitting, the green for fingerless gloves. Yay! It's very exciting, I will post a picture of my sock progress later!

This evening was spent shopping at Kohl's, where I actually bought some clothes. Wow! Here is what I bought... not all that exciting, perhaps, but I'm excited anyway.

I know that these aren't exactly flattering pictures of the clothes - they are much prettier in person and on the body and without this whacky light/editing.

Since it was dark when we got home and my ceiling light isn't sufficient, I took my desk lamp (just a regular old lamp with a shade), got rid of the shade, and used the hard light of the iridescent light bulb. I was going for sort of a model-like appearance, as if taken with a Polaroid camera or a cheap film disposable. However, I don't think I really pulled it off... Ah well, 'tis fun to try. :)

And then I snapped one of my slippered feet. "Slippered" is not a word, in case you were curious. Do you see how my right slipper has a messy knot where I tried to untie the leather string, realized that I would never again be able to re-tie it, and tried in vain to make a bow? Mmmm-hmm.

Squeak! I haven't posted for a week! So much for doing the photo project all the way through the year... Anyhoo, here are three pics that I took today, a bit of compensation for my absence. (It's all Henry's fault, doncha knoo, the little wee(ish) thing is too cute to let anyone do mundane activities.)

This is a wrapper from the best chocolate in the whole. Wide. World.

I signed up for Netflix (did I already mention this?) and we have received, watched and returned our first 3 in our 3-at-a-time plan! We watched two discs of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and a Scottish movie called Dear Frankie. I love how you can watch movies and shows straight from the site, too, it's quite nifty.

This is just a random picture of a Relay for Life bracelet. :D

Meet my tiny Styrofoam disco ball. The first pic is focused on the reflections of various bits of my walls, the second is focused on the ball... obviously. ;)

I made chocolate chip cookies today... They are delicious.

The first picture was taken with the normal lens, but the second picture was taken with a macro attachment, which is why there is such a tiny plane of focus that is sharp. :) Oh! and I wanted to say that I didn't touch these pictures at all, no editing whatsoever.

I know, it's just another sky picture, but the sunset was just gorgeous...

Today was very cold, very windy, and very cold.
