Perhaps I've Come Back

You know it's been ages since you've updated your blog when your very own web browser can't remember the URL. A sad day indeed.

I've been loving every moment of being at UGA, from riding the bus to meeting the people in my major department. Life is good right now. It's going to take me more than one post to catch up, but I thought I'd start with one before I head to school for some studyin'.

These are all photos from a beautifully rainy day in December. I remember I was cooking/baking most of the day and I wanted to go outside so badly. I finally just threw down my rubber gloves and went out. It was drizzling some of the time, and the light was amazing. My camera is notoriously bad with low-light situations, but I didn't care and I'm glad I shot these anyway.

I'm going to go ahead and start posting my Project Life 365 posts here on the blog, though they are iPhone pictures and I feel like they throw a wrench in the atmosphere of my usual blog photos. No matter, I will be glad I did later. I'll write up a little explanation that goes beyond what I post on Instagram (carolinelarousse is my username there if you'd like to follow me!).

Project Life 365 is a fun challenge and it's never too late to join! Search for Project Life 365 on Facebook or Instagram to follow along!

breakfast with jordan and other nice things

My best friend Jordan has a lovely house of her own and it was so nice to make breakfast in her new kitchen. We made blackberry scones, grits, sage sausage, fresh squeeze orange juice, fruit & tea. Needless to say, we were stuffed by the end of it. :)

The last few days have felt rather busy, but I suppose it's not been too bad. Besides a fun visit with Jordan, sandwiched between belting out Mumford & Sons on the drive to and from, I've been putting together a photo book of old photos I scanned. We have some Groupons for Blurb that expire on the first, so I'm racing to finish some projects last minute.

I'll put up links to my books when I'm finished... Here are a few more shots from the last few days:

I have to mention something about the last photo. The sky was... amazing. Absolutely amazing. Massive dark storm clouds followed me and Erin as we drove home from Athens. I was a little freaked out at first - I hate getting stuck in the car during a storm - but we made it home fine. The wind started to pick up and a while later Dad noticed that the sunset was throwing these crazy colors into the storm clouds. It was intense.

 Have a lovely night,

bella vita

Life has been lovely to look at lately.

(All sky photos are straight out of the camera.)
