Hi again

Hi there, guys!

Its been WAY too long since I have posted on this site. I've been on two trips (which is a lot for me), one to Ohio, one to Montana. I have sooooo many pics from Montana to post, I can't wait for a little time to sit and edit some of them.

I really just wanted to say hello and that I am going to post soon enough. Unfortunately I have a teetering tower of textbooks staring menacingly at me. They are always saying mean things, urgh. I'm afraid I'm distracted... So, I'm off to tackle the teetering tower. :D

Bonsoir, mes amis! Je dois mes devoirs maintenant.

Hi there. One day I'll have something interesting to say, but for right now, here's a picture. :)

things i like [a lot]

This is everything that I love as of January through March. They are not in any order of importance or value, just put together. From left to right, top to bottom:

|1. This is a photo that I just really, really love. I'm not sure why - I think it just looks so beautiful.
| 2. José Villa...
| 3. Andrew Lyman, who is a really impressive artist that I went to SCAD summer seminars with, painted this...
| 4. Orangette
| 5. Garance Doré - fashion illustrator/photographer... and she's French. :)
| 6. Dan-Ah Kim
| 7. The Sartorialist, oh yes.
| 8. Simply Stardust - lifestyle blog, you might say.
| 9. Bones, we love Bones. Anthropologically speaking....
| 10. Fantastic Mr. Fox - possibly my favorite movie of all time. Isn't that crazy?
| 11. Pier Pressure - a photo project by Ibán Ramón
| 12. Another favorite image...
| 13. The Sartorialist, again, he gets a double honor here.
| 14. Missed Connections
| 15. Shakespeare - I started my lit section on Shakespeare and I'm loving it. Never thought I would like Shakespeare, either...
| 16. Anthropologie
| 17. Northern Exposure... So funny. It's feels like Scrubs & Arrested Development & Napoleon Dynamite mixed together and set in Alaska.
| 18. Nirrimi Joy, who makes me kind of jealous.
| 19. Coldplay, which is pretty much always a like...
| 20. Hollie Chastain - makes paper art from old books, etc.
| 21. Jim & Pam / The Office. "Jam" is my favorite TV or movie romance besides Elizabeth & Darcy. Hands down.

Sheesh, that took forever. :) Enjoy.

thai soup & warmness

Mom and I had a fun day in Athens... wanna know why? Cuz it was WARM OUT! We went downtown and shopped around Helix and Frontier, had frozen yogurt at Yoguri and weren't cold at all. Not even a little bit. I wore a dress. Ha! And we went to Earth Fare and got some free Easter lilies. And went to Joann's and got some fabric! :)

Then we came home and made Thai soup...

And sat outside while we ate it. Ha! I had on a tank top and leggings. Was I cold? Non.

I have a million pictures to post, soooo many. Lots of Henry & random daily stuff, but I think I should probably do something more productive right now. :( Soon, though, soon...

Au revoir!

doves

I spend the majority of my time in my room. That's not a complaint. I love my room, but sometimes, especially on days like this, when the sky is a dull gray and halfheartedly drizzling, when I'm forced to wear three shirts and use a room heater... Meh.

Today I looked over and saw that there were two doves on the roof outside my window. They were there for a good long time before I finally got up and took pictures. They were all fluffed up and trying to block out the stupid weather like me.

Because I'm really silly, I shot the first ten pics on 16 aperture. o.o That's why you can see the bloody screen.

And then, ahhhh, 2.5 aperture, screen removed...

The one on the left spotted me from the beginning. She decided she'd had enough invasion of her privacy and flew away. I want to get under a comforter and watch Northern Exposure. But school and work is calling me... Speaking of which, my last box from American School came a few days ago:

Chemistry and World Literature. I've got about six courses going right now... And then, bye-bye you dumb Century of Excellence in Education. I will not miss you and you're impossible perforated exam pages that refuse to tear cleanly.

Anyway, tomorrow's weather is supposed to be delightful, so that's something to look forward to, besides watching TV tonight, that is. ^-^

Henry.

Henry spent a few days with us while Sara was in Las Vegas... He was just the cutest. ^.^

Henry likes to climb onto my bed, and lately he thinks its funny to make us pull the covers up. He just laid there like this for probably 5 minutes. It was hilarious! It's kind of silly, too, because he won't sleep with a single cover at night.

Henry: Choo-choo-choo-choo!

Look at those silly ears.

First he dumps the water out of the container, then makes sure that I watched how carefully he avoided pouring the water down his boots:

Cutie-pants.

This little green wheelbarrow was mine. :) I got it for my second birthday. Henry thinks it's pretty cool, he trucked it around the yard, harvesting rocks from the driveway.

Well, that's all for today... Au revoir.

j'ai froid

Hi.

I'm not digging the way that my fingers are stiff from being cold. It's funny how I refuse to bundle up efficiently; I think perhaps its denial and, of course, a phobia of clothes with sleeves that can't be pulled above the elbows.

In general, the days have just been slipping by with unauthorized sneakiness. It's already the eighth week of 2010. I know this because of my nifty exam count-down paper - I'll show it to you sometime, but right now the numbers on that paper are not quite presentable. *hangs head sadly*

Here are some slice-of-life photos for you...

I've been doing lots of French. I really, really like it. Speaking of which, this is a very nice reference site for foreign language learners: www.languageguide.org At least, the French section is nice, not sure about the other languages.
Been doing basic physical science, which I feel like I should have learned by now. Huh... I find it all intriguing, regardless.
This is my Satorialist book. I have sticky-noted my favorite pictures... this guy makes fashion so fascinating.
Me and Mom rewatched the fourth season of Doctor Who a few weeks ago. Honestly don't know when it was, but I sketched the Tardis into my Moleskine.
Also been doing British Lit, which is a lot harder than I expected... Reading Chaucer was a struggle. Milton, however, I quite enjoyed, and thought it was a pity that they only have an excerpt of Paradise Lost in my textbook.

Hello. :)
And, of course, I've been working. A pic of the dry-erase board that reminds me that I have a job. I have to be reminded because I have short-term memory loss... That may or may not be a joke, depends on who you ask. ;)

Here's to warm weather in the near future. *tinks her hot mug with your hot mug*

mon frère et ma soeur

Here are the promised pics of Sara & Logan at the Athens Library! I actually am posting this!!

The Athens Library is not a particularly attractive location for photographs, I know, but Logan was studying there when we met him. :) Logan and I shot some pics of Sara, and Sara and I shot some pics of Logan...

And they are as follows:

This was Sara's idea. Should have scooted down to the W-Z's, but I think the light was probably not as beautiful:

In these next two of Logan, I couldn't decide which exposure I liked better... What do you think? I love how, in the silhouette, you can see a glint of his wedding band.

You can find the most... interesting items in a library.

That's all for tonight... Maybe I'll keep in touch.
