Griffin, Logan, Buffalo and Cows...

Because Mom needed some new photos of Griffin and he had just bought nearly a wardrobe of deals at J.Crew, Logan and I took photos of Griffin a few days ago (and I took some photos of Logan taking photos). We started in our driveway, then drove around the countryside to get some really gorgeous shots.

This blog post is just my images from the shoot, but Logan put up a mix of both mine and his over at his blog: two kids & a baby | griffin Check them out, it's a really beautiful blog post!

Thanks for modeling and braving the Georgia cold, Griffin! Oh, and bow ties are cool. ;)

Now, onward to preparing for school and drinking enough tea to impress England (a bit sick and a bit cold)...

it's getting warmer

Today was really warm! I painted my toes a second coat of blue, had tuna & crackers for breakfast at 11am and started choosing photos for my frames. Gosh darn it, I just remembered that I should have taken pics of my quilt. :( Now it's going to storm like nobody's business and be wet for days.

Logan gave me three houseplants for my graduation. They are so cute. I need to take pictures of the other two, but I didn't have them situated at the time.

Okay, lunch was really yummy. I promise that I'm not a paid Trader Joe's advocate! However, me and Quinn made the Mandarin Orange Chicken (frozen) from Trader Joe's and it was super good. Just added some broccoli and made some rice.

I went to Mom's LLL planning meeting tonight at 2 Story to knit, and FINALLY got to sell some clothes to Suska, the consignment shop two doors down. Yay! We shall see if they sell... Okay, today's boring post is over. It's supposed to storm, so I'm going to shut down my computer and go watch Burlesque with Mum. And I mean the movie, not the genre. :P

I promise a more interesting post for tomorrow! Maybe some art?

school is almost over

Guess what I should be doing right now? Yeah, it's not blogging. BUT! I am officially finished with French - it's a bittersweet celebration, because I really loved French, and now there is nothing to keep me learning. I should go find some French classes.

I am at TWO exams left to go and I really should be reading Jane Eyre. Which I love, by the way, it is such a fun narrative. Despite being all rigid and moral, Jane is a really imaginative character, and of course, Rochester... Mmm.

The summer clothes are out, and I got rid of a HUGE trash bag full of clothes. Now I have a reasonable amount of clothes - and bought these three new tanks! Aren't they cute?

Okay, one last post to go. :)

exploratory

The other day, me and Quinn were walking the property and I said we should go to all the places we don't normally go. I only made a few new finds, but I like the photos that I got.

Speaking of going places you normally don't go... I have a new idea I've been thinking about. Since finding this very nice site, www.issuu.com, which hosts PDF's, I've been pondering starting an online magazine, which one day, might be printed, even. It would be an exploratory magazine, which would find new things in art, music, fashion & lit that I could share with people. It would be very simple, and all about presentation. So, would you read a short, pretty publication online?

The idea is still in progress, so while you wait for me to cognate... :) Here are the rest of the pics:

things i like [a lot]

This is everything that I love as of January through March. They are not in any order of importance or value, just put together. From left to right, top to bottom:

|1. This is a photo that I just really, really love. I'm not sure why - I think it just looks so beautiful.
| 2. José Villa...
| 3. Andrew Lyman, who is a really impressive artist that I went to SCAD summer seminars with, painted this...
| 4. Orangette
| 5. Garance Doré - fashion illustrator/photographer... and she's French. :)
| 6. Dan-Ah Kim
| 7. The Sartorialist, oh yes.
| 8. Simply Stardust - lifestyle blog, you might say.
| 9. Bones, we love Bones. Anthropologically speaking....
| 10. Fantastic Mr. Fox - possibly my favorite movie of all time. Isn't that crazy?
| 11. Pier Pressure - a photo project by Ibán Ramón
| 12. Another favorite image...
| 13. The Sartorialist, again, he gets a double honor here.
| 14. Missed Connections
| 15. Shakespeare - I started my lit section on Shakespeare and I'm loving it. Never thought I would like Shakespeare, either...
| 16. Anthropologie
| 17. Northern Exposure... So funny. It's feels like Scrubs & Arrested Development & Napoleon Dynamite mixed together and set in Alaska.
| 18. Nirrimi Joy, who makes me kind of jealous.
| 19. Coldplay, which is pretty much always a like...
| 20. Hollie Chastain - makes paper art from old books, etc.
| 21. Jim & Pam / The Office. "Jam" is my favorite TV or movie romance besides Elizabeth & Darcy. Hands down.

Sheesh, that took forever. :) Enjoy.
