Thanksgiving

This is very late, but I thought I should put together my Thanksgiving photos! Better late than never. I'm afraid I don't have a photo of every family member that was there. I'm not big on taking photos for the sake of taking photos, so I've just put together my favorites. :)

Look at that cute pink cheek. :)

The photo above is of Griffin sharpening his knife. He was also drinking wine. Logan poured one too many tiny cups of wine, so we gave it to Griffin. I thought it was a comical shot.

Griffin's bloody delicious baguettes above, and an awesome apple pie below!

Sara's chocolate mousse/pudding pie! So good. Paula Deen recipe.

Thanksgiving was lovely. I hope that we have many more like it.

The beginning of fall.

We woke up the other day to find that it was chilly outside... I guess fall has found us.

I love fall. I think I love it more than spring. Winter, on the other hand - not a big fan - but I don't let that take the fun out of fall. I love the open windows and the long-sleeves + shorts or tanks + jeans. I love eating fall-ish food, like stew. I love going outside and knowing that it will be gorgeous in every way and that I won't sweat.

And what I love most of all? Sleeping under three blankets while cold air comes in my open window. That is what I love the best. (Possibly more than anything else, at all, ever.)

Excessive dressing of the babies is fun at first too. We didn't have any warm clothes for Lucy to wear, since the chill came out of nowhere, so we dressed her in Henry's old sweater, a hat I made her earlier this year (from Christina's scrap yarns) and a pair of socks I had tried knitting myself, but were much too small. :)

And on to today's pictures... I cut Quinn's hair right before everyone came for Dad's birthday tonight. It was so amazingly gorgeous out in the yard, so we trimmed in the grass. :)

Photo by Quinn, while I was snapping with Sara's camera!

I am tempted to put up a large picture of Erin's face, but I think she would cease talking to me. ;) Tonight was lovely! Now for studying tomorrow... Biology test on Tuesday morning at the crack of dawn (literally), and our first geology test on Wednesday. It's going to be some science-y studying tomorrow. Also, I handed in my first English paper Thursday... We'll see how that turns out!

September always inspires me (and October; they are glorious months), so with a little determination, you will be seeing more posts from me in the near future. :)

Au revoir!

*snicker*

Let me describe the scene. Sara is sitting on a picnic bench that is used to block Henry from falling off of the porch, trying on her new pair of shoes from Rack Room. Quinn is watching. The ceramic, nameless dog by the door is watching. Henry is running around naked, albeit for his little brown cow shoes, sticking one hand in a pot of dirt and the other crotchwise.

And I'm taking pictures.

happy earth day

I have a funny story to share with my blog stalkers. I owe them a laugh, at least, for neglecting my blog for a month.

Once upon a time, Uncle Quinn was playing with the H-Man, otherwise known as Henry. Mom & Sara were working and I was neglecting any and all duties, as usual. Henry is a high-maintenance kid, you know, lots of entertaining must be done at all times. I had started a bit of a game with this ball:

The game was to put an object in its poor deflated indentation, then to simultaneously smack the sides to make the object pop into the sky. So, of course, Quinn thought this was grand and added his more violent touch. He put my little plush TY puppy in the ball and... this is what happened:

A closer look...

I mean, how funny is that? She just soared up and landed smack dab on a fan blade. And posed all cute and everything! Henry didn't get it for a while, but when he finally saw her he thought it was all very fun.

This poor pup is nameless at the moment. I can't remember her name!! I mean, I named her, for heaven's sake. It might be Daisy. But I don't know.

So that's my funny story. Here is a photograph of spring for you, in honor of Earth's special day. Which is every day. But especially today. :D

thank you thank you thank you!

As I said in my title, like a generic plastic shopping bag: Thank you, thank you, thank you! For your comments. They made me ever so happy!

So, what has been going on?

- My aunt & co. came down for Thanksgiving. Yay!
- It rained for two days straight. Yay!
- We are almost finished with season one of Pushing Daisies. *sad*
- I'm almost done with Jamie's pretty scarf. Yay!
- I helped shoot a wedding with one of Sara's photographer friends. Yay!
- I got to keep Sara's camera at my house, with all of her super awesome lenses, or at least the one super awesome lens. Yay!
- And, of course, Thanksgiving. I've had a super lovely Thanksgiving holiday. Our multi-mixy families got together for our third annual Thanksgiving - only this time there were so many of us that we had to graduate to a space larger than the Green Bean. So, we set up at the Pres. church!
- And I made a video of the big par-tay.

Enjoy!

I'll be posting a video of our Christmas decoration efforts soon. :) Now I'm off to either watch the adorable first season of Pushing Daisies (officially the cutest show since infinity) or season two of Star Trek, Next Generation.

project green bean

This Sunday was Project Day at the Green Bean! I made this video... Just a fun documentation of the day.

Wish that the quality wasn't so crappy... :(
